It's good to have a theme tune on your first record. If it's good enough for Black Sabbath and The Monkees, it's good enough for us. The Monkees also had a Monkeemobile. We haven't got a MojoDemonmobile as such, although Shakey has just got a new vehicle. I'm a little unsure it has quite the same pizzazz as the Monkeemobile but we could customise it. We'll need a chainsaw. Thinking about it, Black Sabbath didn't have a BlackSabbathmobile - can you imagine what that would have looked like? Probably a bit like The Creepy Coupe from Wacky Races I would think... Anyhow, this song is a story about the fact that wherever a Demon (meaning you and us) goes and whatever we do, the blues and rock n roll go with us. Music isn't a commodity for us, it IS us. As we go about our business, we have sweet rock n roll music playing in our heads. That's the Mojo Demon, right there. And when our time is done, that music will still be playing. I expect Howling Wolf is being played somewhere all the time, non-stop, and that's not going to stop just because we personally have left the building. It's our duty to spread the word to ensure we have done our bit to save everybody from themselves and help them to stay lost in the wonder of the beautiful music. That is a life worth living...
wake up in the morning
getting outta bed
mojo demon
knocking in your head
it's a mojo demon
rocking up today
it's a mojo demon
once more with feeling
he is with you
throughout the day
you get to work
to earn your pay
you got him knocking
every day
it's a mojo demon
rocking on your head
it's a mojo demon
won't even stop
when you're dead
and when you get home from work
wanna do some supping
to mojo demon
that don't mean nothing
it's a mojo demon
gets you till you're dead
it's a mojo demon
once more with feeling
he won't stop
even when you're dead
it's a mojo demon
once more with feeling
it won't stop
anytime soon
